SHIFA Selected for the AI UniPod Bootcamp, Second Cohort

SHIFA is proud to announce that SCIP (SHIFA Clinical Intelligence Platform) has been selected for the AI UniPod Bootcamp — Second Cohort, an intensive 10-day program for early-stage AI founders building in Health, Agriculture, Finance, Tourism, and Education across Ethiopia.

The AI UniPod is an initiative powered by timbuktoo, in partnership with UNDP Ethiopia, the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, and Addis Ababa University. The bootcamp offers hands-on AI and business training, technical workshops, mentorship, access to advanced workspaces, and concludes with a stakeholder Demo Day.

SCIP is a live AI clinical decision-support tool that gives frontline health workers in Ethiopia real-time, guideline-based answers at the point of care, grounded in 109 validated Ethiopian and WHO clinical guidelines — available today at scip-et.com.

This selection follows SCIP's inclusion in the African Impact Challenge 2026 Bootcamp (Health Entrepreneurship – Builder Track), continuing SHIFA's momentum in building AI health solutions designed locally, for the realities of resource-constrained health systems.
